Ruffled Thoughts

I’m planning to change this new blog to a more definitive solution that integrates also my photo album.
It seems that the best solution is Gallery + WordPress but it needs some work.
Currently the photopress link doesn’t work, please wait until I move from PhotoPress to Gallery.

When searching for some news about today’s bombing in London I discovered that yesterday we lost one of the members of the Star Trek TOS crew: James Doohan (aka Scotty).
Kudos to him.

This was created with the Photostitch application that came with my Canon G2 camera. Not really a perfect job but maybe my first attempt to use it.

IMHO one of the best movies with Monica is Ricordati di me. Beware, it’s similar to American Beauty but nevertheless it’s worth seeing.
Save your time on Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolution of course :-).

I was going to buy my first album on iTunes, Thriller by Michael Jackson for 12,90 €.
Lucky me, my local Media World store as it on nice price as well, for the same money. Now I own my legal copy of an all-time-greatest, cd box and booklet included of course.
The same it’s true for another wise-buy: “Best of the Eighties” by Ultravox sold for less than 10 €.
The only items left in my cart (patented one ? :-)) are “Stay on this roads” by A-Ha (which will complete my A-Ha collection) and “The platinum collection - Greatest I,II,III” by Queen…

Sorry, but I have to practice.

Why I don’t like the movie ?
First of all because I saw it a few days after reding the book. BAD IDEA.
Second of all because it smashes everything in the book: characters, locations, the story and the pathos itself.
The movie it’s based on the book but should definitely get a different title.
No comment about the initial note: “film di interesse culturale sponsorizzato dal Ministero dei Beni ed Attività Culturali“.
Just read the review posted by olga84-Italy , it seems quite reasonable, especially because it’s written by a young lady.
Conclusion: read the book, avoid the movie.
