OpenOffice rlz!

Friday, October 21st, 2005 @ 10:18

Hi there! As someone knows I’m an open-source enthusiast so I’d like to do some OpenOffice marketing for free.

Break the MS Office slavery ! Microsoft doesn’t need your money!

I started using seriously OpenOffice a few days ago, since I bought my new notebook (laptop if you prefer).
I just quick tested MS Office compatibility and it rocks. For me the only tie is Outlook but I’m working on it too.

So, for your documents needs try it out, you won’t be disappointed, go to the OpenOffice site.

Bewitched (2005)

Tuesday, October 4th, 2005 @ 8:24

Here I am with another (personal) review of Bewitched, remake of the famous Bewitched (1964).
First of all just a word about the theatre where I saw the movie: for (at least) the first 20 minutes an annoying black line appeared in the middle of the film, very thin, but it was really annoying (probably I was the only one that I noticed). The sound was very high pitched and the actors were yelling most of the time.
I was attracted by this movie partially because of the director (Nora Ephron, her masterpiece: When Harry met Sally…) and because of Nicole Kidman…
For who, like me, watched the original series there is no reason to see this movie: there are only 1 or 2 good lines and the original Samantha was amazing… the Kidman one is -in simple words- stupid; also the sarcasm of the old Endora was more “edgy” (in fact all the old cast was pretty good). And it fails as a love story too (I will ask my girlfriend but I think I know the answer).
The original series is 254 episodes long: will this mean that this movie will eventually raise the price of the complete collection on DVDs (if any) ? I have this strange feeling that all these new remakes are a sort of big spot for DVD sales and we pay for it…
Let’s not forget another nice series: I dream of Jeannie (Strega per amore in Italy) with an “early Jr”.
