Torino 2006

Oggi, 21 dicembre 2006, ho cominciato a pubblicare i DVD delle registrazioni del pattinaggio artistico delle olimpiadi di Torino 2006 (sì, lo so che sono in ultra ritardo).
La sorgente digitale delle registrazioni è stata un ricevitore satellitare Jepssen JS-4000 PVR, nessun passaggio all’analogico è stato effettuato, ho lavorato direttamente sullo stream MPEG-2 e ho solo aggiunto qualche transizione, il menù e i capitoli. Non mi sono neanche auto-citato nei credits

Istruzioni: per scaricare i file è necessario un qualsiasi client BitTorrent (per esempio Azureus, disponibile per Windows, Mac e Linux). Dalla pagina del tracker selezionate il DVD che volete ed iniziate a scaricare; potete anche scaricare solo una parte del DVD (per esempio solo un VOB) come campione e decidere poi se scaricare il resto. In questo caso il mitico player VLC può essere utile.

Today, december 21st, I published my DVDs of the figure skating events of the XX Olympic Winter Games held in Turin.
The digital source was a Jepssen JS-4000 PVR satellite receiver. No analog processing, only digital MPEG-2 stream, I just added a bunch of transitions, menu and chapters. I even left out the credits for myself.
Thanks to my friend Onizuka for providing the receiver.
Instructions: to download the files you need a BitTorrent client (for example Azureus, available for Windows, Mac and Linux). From the tracker page click on the link of the DVD you wish to download and wait; you can also download only a part of the DVD (for example just one VOB) to use it as a sample and then download the rest if you want. The great VLC player could be useful in this case.

[8/11/08 update: I switched to BitTorrent from Azureus because BitTorrent is much lighter on my not-so-powerful box ]
